Photo point above Suheil Shibam (2 minutes by car / 10 minutes hiking): From Suheil, opposite of the Walled City of Shibam, you will easily find your way to the hilltop. Young guides will offer their services in return for a small payment. Follow the steps between the houses - they will lead you to the watchtower where you can climb the roof and enjoy sunset.

Wadi Juaima (30 minutes by car): Your trip starts in Al-Hawta, east of Shibam. Turn northwards and pass a small village called Buheira (after crossing the new road to Seiyoun). For good hiking areas and beautiful landscape, continue to follow the track northwards (4WD useful).

Wadi Bin-Ali (15 minutes by car): Coming from Shibam, take the first road to the right after Al-Hazm. After a while, the road becomes a track framed by lush palm trees which here and there give way to small settlements and fortified villages. The most impressive of these are the beautifully decorated "Qusur Al-Uqda" ("Palaces of Al-Uqda").
